The average depth of the Pacific Ocean is 4,000 meters (13,000 ft). In the Mariana Trench in the western North Pacific, Challenger Deep is the deepest point in the world. Challenger Deep reaches a depth of 10,928 meters (35,853 ft).
Horizon Deep is in the Tonga Trench, the deepest point in the Southern Hemisphere in the Pacific Ocean. Horizon Deep is located at 10,823 meters (35,509 ft) and Sirena Deep, the third deepest point on Earth, is located in the Mariana Trench.
